Highlights from the Tech7 Visit in Southern Israel

The MIBA Israel team’s recent visit to Tech7 provided a remarkable opportunity for further exploration of southern Israel’s innovation hubs – diving into initiatives that serve as ecosystem catalysts for the Negev region of Israel.
Based in Beersheba, Tech7’s portfolio of companies feature solutions for defense and homeland security as well as AgTech and HealthTech. Partners in their Homeland Security Accelerator include Nvidia, Rafael, IAI Elta, Poalim Hi-Tech, Israel Innovation Authority, and SouthUp.
Tech 7 has created a thriving community that fosters entrepreneurship through multiple programs, equipping entrepreneurs with the tools and networks needed to succeed. Their methodology has attracted global companies and research centers to sponsor hackathons and innovation challenges.
During our visit, we engaged with nine impressive companies; several of which may hold significant potential for integration into the Michigan innovation ecosystem, paving the way for future collaboration.
The visit and meetings offered valuable insights into innovative models that can inspire mutual learning, adaptation, and partnership opportunities. It was a visit filled with discovery, showcasing the power of ecosystems in nurturing innovation and regional growth.
