Spotlight on Israeli Innovation: Driving the Future of Mobility

Written by Casey Iaccino, MIBA Director of Innovation and Economic Expansion

Israel continues to lead the charge in global mobility innovation, and nowhere is this more evident than in the latest cohort of startups from Drive TLV’s FastLane program. Designed to accelerate startups on the path to commercialization, FastLane connects emerging Israeli technologies with global mobility leaders—including those in Michigan’s thriving mobility ecosystem.

Three standout companies from this cohort—Monogoto, Whilx Technologies, and Arbell Energy—are developing solutions that redefine how vehicles communicate, operate, and power forward.

  • Monogoto is revolutionizing connectivity with its secure, cloud-based cellular network tailored for IoT and mobility applications. In a major boost to Israeli-U.S. collaboration, Detroit-based Assembly Ventures recently announced an investment in Monogoto, recognizing the company’s potential to support next-generation mobility infrastructure across industries.
  • Whilx Technologies is rethinking vehicle safety and efficiency with an innovative add-on system for autonomous, adaptive optimization of tire pressure. By ensuring the tire’s contact area with the road is always at its best, Whilx’s solution can reduce braking distances, minimize the risk of collisions, and improve fuel efficiency, leading to lower CO₂ emissions and a safer, more sustainable driving experience.
  • Arbell Energy is advancing solar energy integration in mobility through its innovative architecture of nanocrystals that significantly increases the efficiency of solar cells. Their lightweight, transparent photovoltaic (PV) solutions can be applied to virtually any surface—vehicles, buildings, and infrastructure—creating new opportunities for clean energy generation. Using simple, cost-effective manufacturing techniques, Arbell delivers scalable solar technology for the next era of sustainable mobility.

These startups reflect the power of Israeli innovation and the value of cross-border collaboration with Michigan’s mobility ecosystem. With programs like Drive TLV’s FastLane and partners like Assembly Ventures, the future of transportation is not just being imagined—it’s being built.
