MIBA recently held an educational program entitled “Israel Since October 7 & Beyond,” featuring distinguished speakers Mark Davidoff (MIBA’s Founding Board Chair) and Mark Regev (former Ambassador of Israel).
The MIBA recently hosted two impactful virtual events, underscoring our focus on sustainability—one of our six key pillars. In partnership with Americans for Ben-Gurion University, we explored water and energy solutions at the Global Innovation & Entrepreneurship webinar. At our From Waste to Worth webinar, five Israeli companies showcased cutting-edge innovations turning waste into valuable resources.
On August 13th, The Elevator buzzed with energy as healthcare and tech innovators from Michigan and Israel gathered for a dynamic evening of networking and discussion. Hosted by the MIBA, MichBIO, and mHealth Israel, the event narrowed in on the synergy between Michigan’s robust healthcare sector and Israel’s HealthTech startups. Attendees had the opportunity to network and featured a panel moderated by Lisa Prasad, Chief Innovation Officer at Henry Ford Health, with insights from Charity Tarn of Arboretum Ventures and Frank Urban of Spartan Innovations, who shared forward-looking perspectives on industry trends.
Bernard Bourgeois, MIBA’s Managing Director, sat down with Israeli powerhouse Dr. Sigal Shafran-Tikva who has pioneered the concept of EntrepreNursing. In this webinar, Dr. Shafran-Tikva discusses this concept with Dr. Christopher Coleman and Dr. Carly Miller of Oakland University.
The MIBA partnered with American Technion Society to host a dynamic event elevating Israeli innovation and resilience. Moderated by the MIBA’s CEO, Scott Hiipakka, the panel discussion was composed of Saul Singer, co-author of the acclaimed book “Start-Up Nation,” and Professor Lihi Zelnik-Manor of the Technion.
